looks like rain

rain clouds are all over the area, but as usual some places will get it and some won't can't tell if it will rain on the pier or not

we hae a good east wind so so waves and still clear water...alot of small clumps of grass are here but should not be a problem

Today we have a east wind and waves coming from the same direction...the waves are small and water clarity is excellent still. there is alot of scattered grass in the area

Lights while not entirely fixed are shedding enough light o go back to 24 hour operations

recovering

the pier is again open...we do not have lights yet so only open day light hours currently 6am-8pm

the gulf is calming down from all the storms and is fishable again...now if the rain would just stop for a few days....

there have been rumors of grouper off the pier but haven't seen any in the frying pan

re open

Most of the repairs have been accomplished....we will open friday at 6AM...the lights are still out so will have to close at 8PM until electricians can fix them...hopefully that won't take to long

Dennis

Everyone has to be off the island by 6am Saturday...The pier will close at 5PM Friday and reopen soon as we can Hope everyone is safe

Looking out today it's hard to believe that we just had one storm and a bigger one is coming this weekend

The water a day after cindy is still muddy and riled up...just a few bottom fish caught...today so far some reds, whiting, and blues... clean water is just off the end... hopefully tomorrow it will be clean again and dennis will go anywhere but here

Holiday weekend is over..They caught a lot of fish and some very larges ones as well

42 pounder

One of the biggest kings of the year was caught yesterday... Anglers varied the weight from 42-46 but either way it was a biggie

Good wind

We have a good south wind today its blowing in the waves and fish...no june grass sighted..the water is clean visibility is good

Tarpon

Tarpon was hooked today and as required by law if you do not have a tarpon stamp, broke off at the pier...They also got kings again this morning
