27 Apr

Upon further review, one of the cobias caught yesterday was a bit on the small size and was released unharmed. the fisherman was smart enough to use a net to bring it up rather then harm a questionable fish with a gaff..the other one was not weighted but appeared to be 20-22 pounds..

today we have clear skies and a light north wind...water is a bit murkey with 2-3 and a temp of 77

yesterdays reported catch included the good spanish runs, hardtails, scattered pompano and blues, with at least one king and one run of jack caravalle

25 Apr

Again we have a light west wind, clear skies, and water...patches of grass are starting to appear in the water...these can ofter hold some dolphin...water temp 86 sounds kinda high to me could have been taken in a very sunny spot waves are 1-2

yesterdays reported catch again about the same a few runs of spanish couple pompano and one run of jack caravalle along with the hardtails.

To answer some of the comments the acutal name of a hardtail is blue runner. Whlie these are used as bait for large game fish, they are a member of the jack family. Most of them go 8-13 inches. The ones I saw yesterday were a bit larger then that. They are a easy and fun fish to catch. The spanish seems to average the same size in each run that comes in sometime barely 12-14 inches others 2-4 pounds.

so far today we have heard of spanish and hardtails being caught

there were two cobai sighted one hook up but lost
