For GDT:  Shrimp gives you the best chance to catch any bottom fish.  If you are not getting bites where you are, I would suggest trying another location.  Beach fishing is the trickiest.  We are certainly an option along with bridges and jetties.  Remember if you are out of state a fishing license is required, and if a resident of Florida a free license is also needed.  Check myfwc.com for requirements.  You will not need one on this pier
