15 Oct 09

Overnight rain, overcast sky, west wind

water is clean, waves 1-1+, temp 84

yesterday: Spanish, blues, tuna, hardtails, dolphin, and kings

this morning: Blues, dolphin, and kings

For Jerry.

Basic baits will be shrimp or squid for smaller bottom feeding fish and minnows or artificial for larger surface eaters. Also artificial lures work great. Our tackle shop has the bait and a good selection of lures. I would suggest that you first go on the pier to see what they are using and plan from there. As with most fishing early morning and sundown seem the best overall times, however they can pop up any time.
